IMPORTANT INFORMATION
About your policy
  • This policy is only available to residents of Australia who are under 70 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is to be issued and must be issued prior to the commencement of your trip.
  • This policy provides cover for any trip both overseas or within Australia.
  • You are covered whilst travelling independently of any other named adult on your policy.
  • There is no limit to the amount of trips you may take during your 12 month period of insurance.
  • The maximum duration of any one trip is 60 days.
  • Travellers must be in Australia at the time the Certificate of Insurance is issued.
  • The Annual Multi Trip Travel Plan cannot be purchased more than 12 months prior to the nominated commencement date.
  • If you have a High Risk existing medical condition or require cover for an existing medical condition other than those automatically covered, a Travellers Medical Appraisal Form must be completed and submitted for approval by QBE Insurance prior to the issue of the Certificate of Insurance. Cover may also be available for an existing medical condition of a non travelling relative or business partner.
  • Provided you comply with the terms and conditions of this policy, including the requirements for an existing medical condition, you can select cover for an additional adult at any time during the period of insurance. Cover under this option will commence from the time you pay the premium until the period of insurance ends.
  • You cannot substitute the nominated insured, whose name appears on the Certificate of Insurance. This does not apply to Section D9 "Alternative Staff" provided the replacement employee submits an Application Form and if required, a Travellers Medical Appraisal Form and cover is approved by us.
Your duty of disclosure
Before you enter into an insurance contract, you have a duty of disclosure under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984.

If we ask you questions that are relevant to our decision to insure you and on what terms, you must tell us anything that you know and that a reasonable person in the circumstances would include in answering the questions.

You have this duty until we agree to insure you.

If you do not tell us something
If you do not tell us anything you are required to tell us, we may cancel your contract or reduce the amount we will pay you if you make a claim, or both. If your failure to tell us is fraudulent, we may refuse to pay a claim and treat the contract as if it never existed.
 
Electronic communication
By applying online you agree to receive quotation, medical and policy documentation electronically for all travellers on the quote/policy to the email address you provide.
 
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, disclose, store and use personal information as well as how to access it, correct it or make a complaint. When we say personal information we may also mean sensitive information such as health information that's relevant to us issuing, administering or managing products or providing services and the terms on which we will do these things. We use personal information to issue, administer and manage products and provide services. We may share your information with other QBE Group companies, our authorised representatives and service providers, each of which may be based outside of Australia.

By giving us personal information you consent to us collecting, disclosing, storing and using it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you give us someone else's personal information you confirm you've obtained their consent to do so.

If you don't provide all of the personal information we've requested we may be unable to issue, administer or manage products or provide services.
